Eshoo currently serves as the representative for District 18. She said she was one of the first to sound thee alarm on COVID-19 with the administration in January and chaired one of the first COVID-19 Congressional hearings in February. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1992, and she currently serves as the Chair of the Health Subcommittee. She says 41 bills she has authored have been signed into law.

Eshoo said she is working to lower prescription drug costs and improve health care access, but she said she is also working toward free and accessible internet. She chaired the Subcommittee on Intelligence Community Management, and she said she has worked to improve oversight of the intelligence community and protection of national security.

Rishi Kumar

Kumar was elected as a Saratoga City Councilmember in 2014, and he says that during his time on the City Council the city reduced crime and saw a 47% drop in burglaries. He said he also reversed, reduced or rejected eight San Jose Water rate increases. Kumar is a software executive in Silicon Valley.

During the pandemic, Kumar said his campaign called 86,000 senors to help them with groceries and medication. His priorities include pandemic preparedness, growing the economy and bringing manufacturing back. He also prioritizes Medicare for All, a Green New Deal and racial equality.

Kumar holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
