Gilroy police search for suspect in bank robbery

GILROY, Calif. (KION) Gilroy police are looking for the suspect in a bank robbery that happened Wednesday.

At around 1:45 p.m., police said the suspect went into the Golden 1 Credit Union and demanded money using a note. The suspect then walked away with the cash north on Church Street.

The suspect is described as a Black man between 30 and 50 years old. He is about 5'9" to 6'2" with a heavy set build. He was seen wearing a blue jumpsuit with reflective tape on the pockets and sleeve cuffs. Police said the suspect may have stuffed the clothing to make him appear heavier. He was also seen wearing a baseball cap with a bear on the front and rimmed glasses.
