SAN BENITO COUNTY:

San Benito County Health and Human Services confirms 6,094 total cases of COVID-19.

  • 8 cases remain active
  • 6,023 people have recovered
  • 63 people have died
  • 3% travel-related cases
  • 64% person-to-person transmission
  • 33% community transmission

San Benito County Health and Human Services says there have been 31,620 negative test results. Positive cases range in age from 15 days to 101 years.

According to a state count, nobody is hospitalized.

San Benito County is in the yellow tier of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY:

There have been 16,191 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Santa Cruz County, according to the Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency, and 47 are active cases. 206 people have died. 15,938 people have recovered from the disease.

  • 78.58% person-to-person transmission in household
  • 9.90% person-to-person in a healthcare setting
  • 7.16% person-to-person in close contact

501 have been hospitalized in total. According to a state count, 4 people are hospitalized and nobody is in the ICU.

Santa Cruz County is in the yellow tier of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy.

MONTEREY COUNTY:

There have been 43,782 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Monterey County. 419 people have died. 43,758 have been released from isolation.

The Monterey County Health Department says their total includes:

  • 1% travel-related cases
  • 29% community-acquired
  • 70% epidemiologically linked to a confirmed case

According to a state count, 3 people are currently hospitalized and nobody is in the ICU.

Overall, 251,153 tests have been completed in Monterey County, with a positive test rate of 17.43%, according to the county health department.

Monterey County is in the yellow tier of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
