Community Human Services offering outpatient drug treatment to Monterey County residents through telehealth

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Community Human Services said it is continuing to offer outpatient drug treatment services to residents with Medi-Cal coverage during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place, but is taking treatment online.

Services are being offered via telehealth, and Community Human Services said all participants need is a phone, tablet or computer and a Medi-Cal card.

Through telehealth, Community Human Services is able to offer individualized assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling and aftercare planning to adults with substance abuse disorders who qualify.

The only form of payment required is a Medi-Cal insurance card.
