SEASIDE, Calif. -- Five miles, four mud pits, and even some beer along the way. Preparations are underway in Seaside for the 8th annual Big Sur Mud Run which begins Saturday.
The race draws in around three thousand runners, and organizers are expecting the same turn out this year. It includes everything from hills, dirt trails, and even a five foot wall to scale.
The muddy makeover got underway in Seaside Thursday. Crews were out digging up the mud pits to prepare for the big turnout.
You can still register to participate in the race. It begins at 8:00 a.m. at Freeman Stadium on the Cal State Monterey Bay Campus in Seaside.
