Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Salinas Gas Station

SALINAS, Calif. - Authorities are looking for the suspect responsible for an armed robbery at a gas station in Salinas.

Salinas Police say they responded to the Valero station along John Street, near Monterey Street, shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday for reports of an armed robbery.

Through their investigation, police have learned that a male suspect entered the business, pulled out a handgun and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled out the door and entered a waiting newer model silver sedan which drove off towards John Street.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, in his early 20s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the letter "N" on the chest area, gray gloves and a gray mask.
