SALINAS, Calif. - Police are on the hunt for two men responsible for attempting to rob the Motel 6 on De la Torre St. near the airport. Officers responded to the call just after 9 p.m. Monday.
Police said the two men entered the motel office and demanded money from the clerk. According to police, one of the men jumped over the counter with a handgun and demanded cash from the employee. However, the clerk was able to run from the office and escape.
Next, the suspects turned their attention to a female customer, who was in the office during the robbery. The two men robbed her of unknown amount of cash before running on foot from the motel.
The two were last seen running towards the Inns of California. The two were described as males in their 20s, wearing black hoodies, black bandanas over their faces, dark pants, and black gloves.
No injuries were reported during the crime.
