King City Shooting; Victim Dies

KING CITY, Calif. - King City Police said an 18-year-old male was shot in the head at about 8:30 p.m. Friday at Pearl Street and South Vanderhurst.  Police say 18-year-old Matthew Torres was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Police are looking for the suspects seen driving a smaller black sedan, possibly a Honda. Witnesses report seeing the car driving southbound on 1st Street toward the 101 Freeway.

The victim had no prior history of contacts with the King City Police Department, was not a known member of any gangs and the motive for this killing is not known.
