Police Identify Man Shot, Killed In East Salinas - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

SALINAS, Calif. - Police have identified the 21-year-old shot and killed in east Salinas Thursday afternoon as Olajawon Milligan.

Salinas Police say Milligan was shot on Moreno Drive, near Mae Avenue, just after 2:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say they are looking for a Hispanic male suspect, 18 to 20 years old, wearing a grey jacket and blue jeans, who was seen by witnesses running from the scene right after the shooting.

Cesar Chavez Elementary School and Alisal High School were placed on lockdown as a precaution. The lockdown was lifted approximately one hour later.

Police believe this may be a gang-related shooting.
