Suspected Prowler Caught in Backyard - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

WATSONVILLE, Calif.--Police responded early Sunday morning to a call from a person who said he was holding a suspected prowler at gunpoint in his own backyard.

It happened just before one a.m. on the 100 block of Atkinson Lane.

The prowler is indentified as 39-year-old Paul Granados. 

Upon questioning, police learned that Granados is the ex-boyfriend of the resident's sister and had allegedly assaulted the sister earlier in the day.

The sister was not hurt and no shots were fired.

Granados was taken into custody.
