New Deans Bring Combined 75 Years Nursing Experience to the College
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., March 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rasmussen College, a leader in postsecondary higher education, is proud to announce the addition of four Deans to the Rasmussen College School of Nursing. Together, the Deans bring more than 75 years of nursing experience, adding to an already impressive group of nursing faculty.

Dr. Iris Cornell has been named Dean of the School of Nursing's RN to BSN program. With more than 30 years nursing experience, Dr. Cornell will oversee the online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program. Dr. Cornell received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and her Doctorate in Philosophy of Education from Capella University.
Allyson Torstveit has been promoted to Dean of Nursing for the Rasmussen College Moorhead campus. Now in her third year with Rasmussen College, Torstveit will oversee the nursing operations at the Moorhead, Minn. campus. Torstveit has several certifications for advanced training and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
Kristine Simoni is the new Dean of Nursing for the Rasmussen College Brooklyn Park/Maple Grove campus. Simoni has been a nurse for more than 20 years. She graduated from nursing school in Ontario, and later received her Master of Science in Nursing from Metropolitan State University with a focus on Leadership and Management.
Stephanie Yackel has been promoted to Dean of Nursing for the Rasmussen College Eagan campus. Yackel has more than 15 years nursing experience. She joined Rasmussen College in October 2011 as a nursing faculty member. She recently earned her Master of Science in Leadership and Management in Nursing from Bethel University.
