Task Force Uses Internet to Bust Prostitutes

SALINAS, Calif. - Six people were arrested in Salinas Friday night, after investigators used the internet to stage a prostitution sting.

Just after 10 Friday night, the Salinas PD Violence Suppression Unit joined the San Benito County task force to contact several prostitutes through an internet site.

Those prostitutes met with officers and were arrested on prostitution charges.

33-year-old Martisha Martin, of Sacramento was charged with prostitution and had two warrants for her arrest.

22-year-old Rochelle Thompson, of Salinas, was charged with prostitution and violation of probation.

23-year-old Chereece Pedro of Marin was charged with prostitution.

22-year-old Jonnesha Finley, of Oakland, was charged with prostitution.

23-year-old Olivia Allen, of East Palo Alto, was charged with prostitution.

21-year-old Raven Carter, of San Francisco, was charged with prostitution.

Several more were contacted walking in the area of Kern St and Roosevelt St and arrested.
