MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. - The Transportation Agency of Monterey County has released a list of the major scheduled road and lane closures for the areas between Salinas and North
Monterey County. The closures are from Sunday, February 17th through the following Sunday, February 24th.

Highway 1/Rocky
Creek Viaduct Project: Feb 20 – Feb 22
Daytime roadwork on Highway 1 continues next week from 7 am to
5 pm Wednesday, Feb.20 through Friday, Feb. 22. Overnight closures continue from 9pm to
7am Tuesday, Feb. 19 through Thursday, Feb. 21 (opening Friday at 7am). Highway. 1 @ Rocky Creek has one-way signalized traffic control 24/7. Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a time during daytime
roadwork.
Highway 1 @ Fremont: Feb. 19 – Feb.

Night work on Highway 1 at Fremont St. will result in closures
between the hours of 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Tuesday, February 19, to Friday,
February 22. Motorists can expect delays of approximately 10
minutes.
Highway 1 in
Watsonville: Feb. 19 – Feb. 22
Daytime work on Highway 1, from Salinas Road to the Santa Cruz
County Line, will result in alternating lane closures—northbound and
southbound—between 7 am and 4 pm on Tuesday, February 19, to Friday, February
22. Motorists can expect delays of approximately 15
minutes.
Highway 68 Between
Highway 1 and Laguna Seca: Feb 20 – Feb 22
Night work on Highway 68 between Hwy 1 and Laguna Seca,. Crews
will be conducting drainage work between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., from
Wednesday, February 20, to Friday, February 22. Motorists can expect delays
of approximately 10 minutes
Southbound Highway 101 at Soledad Prison: Emergency Repair on
Over Crossing With 42-Hour Lane Closure This Weekend
An emergency repair along the Hwy. 101 southbound #2 (slow) lane at the Soledad Prison Over-Crossing (O.C.) continues with daytime closures and a 42-hour closure this weekend.
From 6 am to 3 pm Mondays through Fridays.
A 42-hour closure of the Hwy. 101 southbound #2 lane at the Soledad Prison Over Crossing is scheduled from 8 pm on Friday, Feb. 15 through 2 pm Sunday, Feb. 17.
This emergency repair. is necessary because the over-crossing was recently struck and damaged by an over-height truck load travelling southbound.

Improvement Project – Crazy Horse Canyon Road: Feb 19 – Feb 22
Night work continues between Mallory Canyon Road and
Echo Valley Road between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday, February 19, to
Friday, February 22. Night continues at Crazy Horse Canyon Road between
7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from Monday, February 19, to Friday, February 22. Crews will be conducting bridge work and pile
driving.
