SILVER SPRING, Md. - A former UC-Santa Cruz professor is celebrating, after the FDA approved a new bionic eye for the blind, that he helped develop.
Wentai Liu is an electric engineering professor, who now works at UCLA.
The eye - is called "Argus II" and works like a tiny camera.
It takes several pictures, sends them to a mico processor, and eventually to the brain.
