MONTEREY, Calif. -- Love is in the air this Valentine's Day, and what better way to show it than by giving a pet a new home.
The SPCA for Monterey County starts it's "Lifetime of Love" event Thursday, and those looking to adopt a pet can name their price. The adoption even starts at 11:00am, and runs through 5:00pm on Monday, President's Day.
According to the SPCA, animal lovers will be able to pick their price for all types of animals including cats, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other small pets.
The shelter will also have doves up for adoption. The SPCA says it has plenty of doves that have been brought in for different reasons, but now they are having trouble finding homes for them.
