Health officials say the worse of the flu season appears to be over as the number of states reporting intense or widespread flu dropped again last week.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says nineteen states have high levels of flu activity.
This flu season started about a month earlier than normal. Outbreaks began late in the fall and cases have been dropping steadily over the last month. It's been nine years since a flu season started like this one.
