Police Make Drug and Warrant Arrest in Salinas After Traffic Stop

SALINAS, Calif. -- Police arrested 33-year old Ramon Cabral for an outstanding warrant and possession of meth. It happened Wednesday around 7:30 p.m. along Market Way & California Ave.

Salinas police said their Violence Suppression Units were patrolling in the area and pulled over a car for several traffic violations. Officers said the passenger in the car jumped out and tried to run off before the car was completely stopped.

Officers were able to chase after 33-year old Ramon Cabral and arrested him a short distance away. Police said Cabral had a warrant out for his arrest. Investigators said Cabral was also charged with possession of meth and booked into the Monterey County Jail.

The driver of the car was given a ticket for traffic violations.
