HOLLISTER, Calif. -- Police said they need help identifying a suspect who stole alcohol from Safeway.

Officers said it happened on Sunday, February 3rd. Police said around noon a Hispanic man walked into the Safeway at 591 Tres Pinos Road and took 18 packs of Corona beer from a display. Investigators said as the suspect was walking out of the store, two employees tried to stop him but the suspect continued to walk out without paying for the beer.

A few hours later, police said the man came back to the store and stole another 18 packs of Corona beer. Police said another employee tried to stop the suspect at the door. Officers said the suspect turned around and put the beer back on display then ran out the door.

Police said the man got away in a silver SUV/pickup with the California license plate 4xub025. The suspect was wearing a white Raiders jersey with the #20 on it and blue shorts.
