Man Escapes After Being Kidnapped and Robbed in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. -- Police said a 19-year old man escaped from two suspects after being robbed, kidnapped and stuffed in a car trunk Tuesday morning.

It happened along the 900 block of East Alisal in the Mi Pueblu Parking lot.

Officers said the 19-year old victim told officers he was confronted by two white men in the store parking lot. The victim told police he was forced into a car and driven to McGowen Drive. Police said the suspects took the victim's money and cell then put him in the trunk of the car. 

The victim told police the suspects left the car at Foodsco and was able to escape out of the trunk and call police.
