Pebble Beach, Calif.-With thousands of spectators expected for this weeks AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, tournament organizers are not leaving those with special needs out of the mix. Teresa Bruno, Assistant Chair for Special Needs Transportation says they're making the Pro Am the most accessible yet so that all can enjoy the event.
Special Needs parking is available at the Spanish Bay Beach parking lot. Persons in authorized vehicles will be directed to the designated area and provided with complimentary shuttle service to the courses. Special viewing areas are available on course. If you have any further questions you can contact the Special Needs department by calling 831-625-9267.
If you're arriving from the North on Highway 1 these directions will lead you to special needs parking:
- Take the CA-68 W exit, EXIT 399A, toward PACIFIC GROVE/PEBBLE BEACH.
- Turn RIGHT onto CA-68/HOLMAN HWY/PACIFIC GROVE-CARMEL RD.
- Continue to follow CA-68 (Holman Highway) for about 4 miles.
- Turn (keep to the left) LEFT onto SUNSET DR/CA-68/SUNSET DR. This is just past the intersection of David Avenue and Holman Highway.
- Turn LEFT at the 2nd 4-way stop onto 17 MILE DR. This is the Pacific Grove/Spanish Bay entrance to Pebble Beach.
- Follow signs for physically challenged parking (look for the handicap symbol on the parking signs).
- You will be met by this volunteer committee and they will take you and your party to the special view areas on the golf course.
If you're arriving from the South on Highway 1:
- Take the CA-68 W exit, EXIT 399A, toward PACIFIC GROVE/PEBBLE BEACH. Continue to follow CA-68 (Holman Highway) for about 4 miles.
- Turn (keep to the left) LEFT onto SUNSET DR/CA-68/SUNSET DR. This is just past the intersection of David Avenue and Holman Highway.
