Monterey, Calif. – Several Giants and 49ers golfed for charity on Tuesday in the 3rd Annual Shootout. From the results both team's charities were the big winners.
Here's the breakdown of the $150,000 Chevron Shoot-Out, featuring the San Francisco Giants vs. the San Francisco 49ers at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The Giants Community Fund won a total of $55,000, represented by the teams of Matt Cain and Mike Krukow; Will Clark and Dave Flemming; Bruce Bochy and Dave Righetti; J.T. Snow and Ryan Vogelsong. The 49ers Foundation won a total of $45,000 represented by the teams of Harris Barton and Brent Jones; Steve Bono and Dwight Clark.
The shootout was an alternate-shot format on five holes. Each hole was worth $10,000 for 49ers/Giants and $10,000 for twosome's charity ($20,000 total).
