Facebook Fans Choose Cat Token to Replace the Iron in Monopoly - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - The cat has earned another life this morning, at least in the game of Monopoly.

Monopoly fans voted to add the cat to the game and eliminate the iron token, after Hasbro launched a nationwide, online contest.

It's not the first time the tokens have changed, though.  It's not surprising, though, when you think about the fact that the Parker Brothers bought the game from its' original designer in 1935.
