SOLEDAD, Calif. - A man in his 20's, clad in a straw cowboy hat, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black rubber boots, entered the 101 Chevron near Soledad and, with his gun drawn, demanded money and gas.
The Monterey County Sheriff's Office says that Saturday night just after 11, the suspect, estimated in his twenties, had a black, semi-automatic handgun with a silver ejection port when he stormed the gas station on Silliman Road.
He apparently demanded the clerk turn on the gas pump so he could fill his gray, 1990's four-door sedan with gas.
Nobody was hurt.
He got away in a a gray, 1990's, four-door Sedan.
