Students at John Paul the Great Catholic University come together to answer the Holy Father’s call to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church in this “Year of Faith”.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 04, 2013

Marking the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council, Pope Benedict XVI has declared 2012 "The Year of Faith." In particular, the Holy Father is calling upon all Catholics to confront the challenge of religious illiteracy in the Church.

To address this problem, Pope Benedict has asked Catholics to spend the year studying the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the official compendium of Catholic teaching. Students at John Paul the Great Catholic University, together with faculty, have created an interactive online lecture series called Pillars of Catholicism in order to engage all Catholics and call them to explore the foundations of their faith.

The lecture series consists of thirteen episodes, each a half-hour long. All are invited to engage the Catholic faith in this dynamic series. To register, click here.
