New features include support for DOCX templates, improved scripting tools, and an enhanced Microsoft Word ribbon.
Lindon, Utah and Edinburgh, Scotland (PRWEB) February 04, 2013
HotDocs Corporation, the market leader in document generation software, announced today that a new version of its desktop software suite is now available. HotDocs Developer 11 and HotDocs User 11 offer users a broader development platform, more powerful document automation tools, improved integration, and new tools for increased productivity.
“Headlining the list of new features is support for DOCX templates, making conversion to the RTF file format no longer necessary,” commented Lowell Stewart, the company’s Chief Technology Officer. “Compatibility is also offered for Microsoft Word2013 and WordPerfect X6, as well as support for output documents in plain text, HTML, or XML format. “
New document automation tools in HotDocs version 11 include improved scripting to allow for easier generalization, maintenance, and sharing of code; additional calculation tools that make it easier to do financial, mathematical, and text calculations; and a new web forum that allows for finding and sharing of variables and scripts.
A redesigned API plugin in HotDocs 11 makes it easier for users to create their own plugins to facilitate integrations, while new output plugins open a limitless variety of options for how completed documents are distributed, exported, or saved.
An enhanced Microsoft Word ribbon in HotDocs 11 makes for easier template creation, and markup tools make it possible to create model documents directly inside the word processor. Using HotDocs Models, templates can even be sent to third parties for review or editing.
The highlight list of features in HotDocs 11 is rounded out by improved window-level help and search functions, as well as an enhanced outliner tool that opens directly inside Word, making it easier to navigate the structure of templates.
New licenses to HotDocs Developer 11 will be sold at a rate of $800 each, and HotDocs User 11 licenses will cost $330 each. A 15% discount will be offered until February 28, 2013, and upgrades from previous versions will also be offered at a reduced rate.
More improvements to the HotDocs software suite are currently in the works, with HotDocs Server 11, HotDocs Core Services, and an upgraded version of HotDocs Document Services scheduled to be released in the coming months.
