SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputies said they detained a man early Friday morning after getting a call from a Greyhound bus driver that a man was harassing an 11-year old girl.
It happened Friday around 5:45 a.m. The bus pulled over while it was heading northbound on Highway 101 and Bernal Road. Deputies said several people were on the bus that was on its way to San Jose from Los Angeles.
Officers said 70-year old Maximiliano Aguirre of Salinas was reportedly annoying and harassing the 11-year old girl who was on the bus with her family. The family told the driver what happened and the bus driver called police.
After several interviews with the victim, suspect and witnesses officers discovered Aguirre inappropriately touched the little girl. Aguirre was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for suspicion of lewd acts and sexual battery.
