SALINAS, Calif. -- Police said two teens were shot Monday night. The victims were 16 and 17-years old.
It happened just after 7:00 p.m. Monday on the 1200 block of East Alisal. Officers said one of the victims had to be flown to a Bay area hospital and is listed in serious condition. The other shooting victim was taken to a local hospital for surgery and is also listed in serious condition.
Police said witnesses saw two men wearing dark hooded sweatshirts running through an apartment complex towards John Street.
Officers said the shooting is still under investigation. Police believe the incident is gang related.
