Felon Arrested on Multiple Charges After Traffic Stop in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif. -- Gang Task Force Officers pulled over a car for traffic violations. It happened along North First and Pueblo Street in Salinas.

Police arrested 25-year old Miguel Jimenez who they said was on parole, and had a loaded handgun and marijuana packages in his car for sales. Officers said when the suspect opened the car door and the car smelled like marijuana.

Police said Jimenez is a known gang member. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana for sale and gang enhancement.
