SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Santa Cruz County dispatchers confirmed that a car drove off the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf. Coast Guard officials said everyone in the car got out safe.
County dispatchers said it happened around 10:30 a.m. All of the people in the car, including a dog, were able to swim to shore safely. The vehicle was completely submerged under water.
Police and firefighters are still trying to figure out how they're going to get the car out of the water. The cause is still under investigation.
