Power Restored in Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--PG&e says that power is back on in the downtown and beach areas after a car toppled a power pole Saturday night.

The crash happened around eight p.m., knocking out power to about 6,200 customers.

Crews worked throughout the night to replace the pole as well as wires and transformer.

As of nine o'clock Sunday morning, there were only spotty outages, affecting around 30 customers.
