SALINAS, Calif.-- Police were called to the 1900 block of Chelsea Court last night to investigate an armed robbery.
The 71-year-old victim says he was approached just before 8 p.m., by a man with a gun as he sat in his vehicle in the driveway.
He says the suspect, described as a Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s, pointed a black semi-automatic gun at him and demanded money. The suspect spoke in both English and Spanish and wore a brown hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
He fled southbound towards Wimbledon with an undisclosed amount of money.
