Morgan Hill Police Cite Teenager for Cyber Bullying - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

MORGAN HILL, Calif.-- Throughout this week, Morgan Hill Police received information from two 13-year-old Britton Middle School students that they were being bullied by a fellow classmate at school and at their Morgan Hill residence.

During the course of the investigation police learned that the victims had been threatened and assaulted at their home.

A report was passed onto the school resource officer who made contact with the victims and the suspect at school.  During the contact, the suspect was advised that his behavior would not be tolerated and he was not to be in contact with the victims.  The suspect told the officer that he understood, but later that same day, officers learned that the suspect had threatened one of the victims in person after school hours. The suspect then reportedly followed up with text messages to their cell phones and postings on Facebook. 

The suspect was cited for battery, making harassing phone calls, disturbing the peace with offensive words likely to provoke an immediate violent reaction. 

The student is also facing school disciplinary consequences under the California Education Code.
