School Board Reacts to Online Petition Regarding Safety

Posted: Updated:

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. -- The Scotts Valley Board of Education is listening to parents and reacting to a petition they started online.

Parent's campaigned for the school to install new locks on classroom doors in the district. They started an online petition to have "Columbine Locks" installed. The locks allow teachers to secure their classrooms from the inside without the need of a key.

The school board decided to install the locks after a meeting this week.
