MONTEREY, Calif. -- Police arrested 29-year old Juan Pablo Mata of Seaside. Investigators said Santa Catalina School officials told police Mata was giving alcohol to minors at school. Through the investigation police also found Mata was involve in multiple criminal acts against two minors.
Officers said the incidents happened at the school between November 2012 and January 2013.
Police said Mata worked for Bon Appetite Management company which is a food service for the Santa Catalina School. Officers arrested Mata on January 17th and booked into the Monterey County Jail for charges of possession of porn, selling alcohol to a minor, and lewd acts with a minor. Mata's bail is set at $250,000. Investigators said Mata was previously deported and is placed on an immigration hold.
Investigators said no additional students have been identified as victims. Santa Catalina School is located on the 1500 block of Mark Thomas in Monterey.
