SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Notices have been posted around Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz after a surfer reported seeing a shark's dorsal fin pop out of the water near him.
It happened Saturday morning around 9:00 a.m.
According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's department, the surfer estimated the shark somewhere between 12 and 15 feet long.
Deputies posted notices in the area which will remain up until Tuesday.
In the same area back in July, we told you about another shark sighting but this one was an actual attack. A shark thought to be about 15 feet long bit down on a kayak. The man got away unharmed.
