SALINAS, Calif. -- Police are investigating a shooting Sunday night that left a 21-year old man injured.

It happened on the 1100 block of East Laurel, just after 11:30pm.

According to police, the man was shot once in the leg, by an unknown suspect. Police say the suspect then fled in a primered pick-up truck.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police say they're investigating the shootings as gang-related.
