Drive-by Shooting in Salinas on East Laurel

SALINAS, Calif.- Salinas Police said a 21-year-old male victim was shot in the knee just before 4:00pm on Sunday. He was taken to the hospital. Officers said two suspects drove by the victim in the 1100 block of East Laurel Drive in a primer paint truck. Witnesses report seeing the passenger shoot the victim.

This is being investigated as a gang-related shooting East Laurel between Towt and Sanborn. Police said the two suspects drove off heading eastbound on East Laurel.
