Structure Fire in Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.-- Several agencies responded last night to a house fire in the 700 block of Emeline Avenue.

The occupants of the house were outside when they got to the scene, and they were able to keep the fire from spreading to other homes.  However, a cat was still inside and firefighters were able to resuscitate it.

The home sustained major damage estimated at $450,000.
