SOLEDAD, Calif. -- A family is without a home Saturday night after a fire ripped through their home.

It happened in the 1600 block of Johnson Street in Soledad around 7:30 p.m.

Fire crews said no one was home at the time.

Six adults and one child lived in the home.

Central Coast News learned they're staying with friends..

The cause is still under investigation.
