SALINAS, Calif. - The mother of an escaped Monterey County Jail inmate told Central Coast News Friday night that her son was found and re-arrested.
29-year-old James Rimbey escaped from the Monterey County Jail Wednesday afternoon while doing yardwork. At the time, he was last seen running toward the Constitution Soccer Fields.
Central Coast News spoke exclusively with Rimbey's mother Thursday. She said her son's a repeat offender when it comes to escaping.
According to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, he was serving a 3-year sentence for burglary, but was not considered violent.
