Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif- New information on a shooting back in October of 2012 that left a suspected robber dead and another man critically wounded.

Salinas Police called the man behind the gun a 'good samaritan' because he stopped them during an armed robbery at a deli on North Sanborn and shot them with a legally owned gun.

The Monterey County District Attorney's office was investigating the case and deciding whether or not to press charges against the man, only identified as a 36 year old man.

On Friday, the district attorney's office announced they will not press charges.
