One Man Dead, Another Escapes Injury in King City Shooting

KING CITY, Calif. -- One man is dead and another narrowly escapes injury after a shooting Thursday night on Willow Drive and San Antonio in King City.

It happed at around 7:45 p.m. and King City Police said an 18-year old was walking westbound on Willow Drive with a family member when a white Volkswagon Jetta pulled up alongside them. Police said a suspect in the car exchanged words with the victims, then drove down the street. That's when, police said, the vehicle made a U-turn and came back up to both victims and someone from the vehicle opened fire.

The 18-year old victim was shot one time. Police said he died on the way to the hospital. The second victim was shot at twice, but the bullets went through the arms of his jacket coat. Police said he was uninjured.

King City Police say the white Volkswagon Jetta had tinted windows and after-market chrome rims.
