Salinas Police Arrest Man with Multiple Warrants Breaking into Semi Trailer

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police arrested 21-year-old Fabian Puga early Wednesday morning on De La Torre in Salinas. Police said Puga was attempting to break into a semi trailer parked behind the Motel 6.

Police said the driver was asleep in his semi when he heard someone breaking into the locked trailer. When officers arrived on scene, they found Puga near the trailer. He refused to work with police and their commands right away.

Puga went inside the trailer and refused to come out. Police spoke with him for a hour before they were able to enter the trailer and arrest Puga. When police attempted to place him in custody, he began fighting and kicking the officers.

He was eventually placed into custody and found to have a felony warrant. Puga was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and the warrant and booked into the county jail.
