MOSS LANDING, Calif- Firefighters with North Monterey County Fire breathed a sigh of relief after finding out a reported home on fire was just a controlled burn, Monday morning.

The fire was reported around 11:30 a.m., at the intersection of Struve Road and Highway One.

Firefighters want to remind residents that controlled burns are now allowed, with a necessary permit, since we are out of fire season.
