SALINAS, Calif.--Police are looking for a red late 90's Ford Mustang in connection with an attempted armed robbbery.
Investigators say a 24-year-ld pizza delivery driver was at the intersecion of East Laurel Drive and Bolero just before 11 last night when the Mustang pulled up next to him. He says the passenger in the front seat reached down as if to grab a weapon.
The victim quickly drove into a parking lot to get away but when he pulled out, the passenger was standing in the middle of the intersection with a hand gun.
The suspect fired four to five shots at the victim striking his vehicle several times.
The victim was not hit and described the shooter as a Hispanic male adult wearing a gray sweatshirt and beenie.
