Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police responded to a call for shots fired on the under 100 block of Romie Lane just after 1 Saturday afternoon.

People doing laundry next door to where the shooting occurred tell our Brett Martin that nobody was hurt.

Police said a large, Hispanic male wearing a grey T-shirt, white long sleeve undershirt and a blue mask robbed the convenience store with a large caliber revolver.

They said the suspect asked the clerk where the money was and then shot a round into a wall. Police said no one was injured and he was last seen fleeing towards Katherine Ave. with an unknown amount of money.
