Man Dies In Salinas Following Family Dispute

SALINAS, Calif. -- The hunt is on Tuesday night for a man suspected of killing his brother-in-law and leaving him for dead on a driveway.

Salinas Police said a family dispute unfolded at a home on the 1200 Block of Second Avenue on Monday where Salvador Garcia was found dead.

Officers said he confronted his brother-in-law, Francisco Navarro, during the dispute before he was shot in his upper torso.

Garcia was found lying unconscious on the driveway to the rear of the house.

Officers said Navarro took off in a custom orange painted 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck with the California license plate number: 8A21273.
