SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police say one man is dead after a shooting in a home on the 1200 block on 2nd Avenue.
A loud, chaotic scene unfolded for more than an hour after the call came in just after 5:30 Monday evening.
Detectives are still working on interviewing witnesses and gathering information for a homicide investigation.
Juan Carreido, a neighboring resident to the home, says it's a sad sight to see.
"[I] heard the pop or the noise and I thought it was firecrackers because they were laughing and then I heard people crying and that's when I came out".
Other neighbors tell Central Coast News a couple lives at the home with two young boys.
