CARMEL, Calif. -- A suspected robber was taken into custody after Carmel-by-the-Sea Police and the San Benito Sheriff's Department served a searched warrant on his home for a Dec. 15 robbery.

James Henrard, 24, of San Juan Bautista, was taken into custody on Saturday.

He's the primary suspect of a robbery at Fourtane's Jewelry store in Carmel-by-the Sea on Dec. 15.

Officers said two subjects wearing large coats and beanie caps walked into the store and stole a $20,000 Rolex watch. They said one suspect fought with a clerk during the theft before escaping out the front door.

The second suspect is Jay Bradley, 22. An arrest warrant is being requested through the District Attorney's office.

Henrard was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of burglary, robbery and conspiracy.
