SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a couple at gun point in the parking lot of 136 E. Alvin Dr. late Friday night.
The police report says:
The victim and his girlfriend left the apartment of a friend and were in their car in the parking lot.
A suspect then approached on foot and began banging on their car window with what appeared to be the butt of a large caliber revolver.
The victim opened the door and the suspect robbed him of his wallet at gunpoint. For unknown reasons, the suspect then made the victim open the trunk of his car, and there lay a .40 cal handgun in the trunk.
The gun belonged to and was registered to the victim. The suspect took the gun and ran away. The suspect was described as a medium build Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie.
